Telangana folk music continues to hold a special place in the hearts of audiences, with many regional songs racking up hundreds of millions of views on YouTube. Now, bringing that authentic folk flavor to mainstream cinema, the makers of the upcoming film Raju Weds Rambai have unveiled a vibrant new song titled “Rambai Nee Meeda Naku.”
This catchy love track, enriched with soulful Telangana folk lyrics penned by Mittapalli Surender, captures the rustic charm and romantic essence of the region. Anurag Kulakarni’s melodious vocals, along with Jayasri Pallem’s harmonious voice, elevate the song to another level. Composer Suresh Bobbili perfectly blends folk rhythms with contemporary sound, creating a tune that instantly connects with Telangana youth.
From start to finish, the song transports listeners into a rural, romantic world. Early responses suggest that it’s poised to become a massive hit — another anthem for folk music lovers, much like “Anita O Anita” and “Ranu Bombai.”
Interestingly, the makers have dedicated this song to all auto and tractor song lovers, a nod to the deep roots of Telangana’s cultural landscape.
Backed by ETV Win, Raju Weds Rambai is written and directed by Saailu Kaampati, and produced by Venu Udugula and Rahul Mopidevi. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 21, with Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati releasing it under BV Works and VN Entertainments banners.
