Ram’s RED release postponed due to COVID-19 Pandemic

Tollywood heartthrob Ram’s upcoming film ‘RED’ has joined the number of film releases that have been delayed due to concerns over the coronavirus disease.

In a statement, Red movie producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore said that they have postponed the April 9 theatrical release of ‘Red’ to a future date because of the virus outbreak everywhere around the world. But, he did not announce a new release date saying that they will think about the release after this grim situation ends.

“As they say health is wealth. Our first priority should be staying safe. We have postponed our movie. We hope that his grim situation ends soon and normalcy comes back pretty soon. Till everyone is healthy and happy, we will not think about releasing the movie,” he stated.

Directed by Kishore Tirumala and bankrolled by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, Red, the movie also stars Nivetha Pethuraj opposite Ram Pothineni. It may be noted here that this film reunites Ram with director Kishore Tirumala after ‘Nenu Sailaja’ and ‘Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi’.

The teaser of Red had impressed everyone as it looks grey and dark. Nivetha Pethuraj will be seen as a police official and Malavika Sharma will be seen playing a girl-next-door. Touted to be an intense and gripping crime thriller, this film has music by Mani Sharma.
