Rana’s Aranya lands in release trouble

Rana Daggubati’s latest film Aranya has already announced its release date on April 2nd and have intensified its promotions all over. It is the movie in which Rana is playing lead role after many years. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, Aranya is releasing in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.

According to the latest update the makers of the film are now thinking to post pone the film. While one may wonder Corona virus effect is the reason for this, well it might be one of them but a major trouble is awaiting the film.

In Tamilnadu, the film is going to face major hurdle as the distributors there are planning to shut down the theaters in Tamil Nadu.

They want to remove the local body tax for the films which is eating up revenue for them. If the government doesn’t heed to their demands then distributors have warned to shut down the theaters.

Tamil Nadu is crucial for Aranya where the director Prabhu Solomon and another lead Vishnu Vishal are from the same state.

If the issue remains unsolved by the time the film releases, then there is no option but to post pone the release as simultaneous release is compulsory for any Pan India movie.
