Dulquer Salmaan Strikes Back with Powerful First Look from I’M GAME

Dulquer Salmaan, still reeling from the underwhelming performance of Kaantha, has wasted no time shifting gears. Instead of dwelling on the setback, the actor has energized his fan base with the striking first-look poster of his upcoming film I’M GAME. The poster, released online, immediately signaled a bold comeback.
Dulquer appears in a gritty, high-intensity avatar—dressed in a sharp suit, blood on one hand, a gun in the other, and seated confidently on a vivid red couch that exudes dominance. Various characters positioned around him hint at a narrative steeped in crime, conflict, and layered drama. Though Dulquer has not revealed specific plot details, the imagery alone has sparked excitement, with fans hailing it as his “comeback mode.” His Instagram caption, a simple yet impactful “R E A D Y ??”, was enough to set social media abuzz.
His previous release, Kaantha, set in 1950s Madras, explored the strained dynamic between rising star Mahadevan (Dulquer) and his mentor Ayya (Samuthirakani). Despite a strong ensemble that included Bhagyashri Borse and Rana Daggubati, the film faced mixed reviews and controversy, with many speculating it was inspired by MKT—claims Dulquer and Rana repeatedly denied. The film’s release was also delayed to allow Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, which Dulquer produced, to continue its successful run in theatres.
With I’M GAME, Dulquer appears ready to reset the momentum. His raw, rugged look has already revived anticipation among audiences, who hope this marks a powerful return to winning form.
