It’s been a glorious time for blockbuster village drama Rangasthalam at the box office. While the film has been going strong at the ticket windows attracting more audiences even after over a month of release.
And now, the film has completed a landmark 50-day run at the cinema halls. What’s interesting is that the film has done so well in the US market that the elated US distributors of the film, Creative Cinemas NY are celebrating the success.
The Creative Cinemas NY distribution house decided to donate the collections of the film from the screens in Columbus, Ohio, on its 50th day to a charitable organisation H2O.
The period drama set in the 80’s has been running successful in 12 centers (Virginia, Chicago, San Jose, Dallas, Columbus, Edison amongst other locations in the US) for 50 days now and has been opening to huge crowds week after week.
Rangasthalam has proved to be a profitable venture for its makers as it makes record collections worldwide. In the US alone, the film collected $3,513,371 and counting.
To mark the 50 days run in the US, director Sukumar thanked both fans and movie lovers in the US.
