Actress Rashmika Mandanna, who recently grabbed headlines for her remarks about maintaining “9-to-4 work hours” in the film industry, has once again become the centre of social media discussion — this time for her comments on menstrual periods.
During her appearance on Jagapathi Babu’s chat show “Jayammu Nishchayammu Ra”, Rashmika was asked if she ever wished that men could experience periods. Without hesitation, she replied, “Yes, sir. Men should at least get periods once so they know that pain.”
Her statement instantly went viral, sparking mixed reactions online. While many praised her for speaking candidly about women’s experiences, others criticised her comment, igniting widespread debate on social platforms.
The episode is set to premiere on ZEE5 tomorrow, coinciding with the theatrical release of Rashmika’s much-awaited film The Girlfriend. Directed by Rahul Ravindran, the film also stars Deekshith Shetty and Anu Emmanuel in pivotal roles.
With both her outspoken views and upcoming release, Rashmika once again finds herself at the centre of attention — both on and off the screen.
