In Indian tradition, it’s common for wives to touch their husband’s feet during special occasions or religious rituals, symbolizing respect and devotion. But in modern times, this practice has become quite rare. Most husbands don’t expect it anymore, and many wives no longer follow it.
What’s even rarer is the reverse — a husband touching his wife’s feet. There’s no tradition or cultural norm that encourages this, and very few men are known to do it out of love or gratitude.
However, popular Bhojpuri actor and familiar face in Telugu and Hindi cinema, Ravi Kishan, recently surprised many by revealing a deeply personal gesture. Speaking on The Kapil Sharma Show, he shared that he touches his wife’s feet every night. This revelation touched the audience and has since gone viral on social media.
Ravi Kishan is married to his childhood friend Preeti, who stood by him long before he found success in films. Recalling their early struggles, he emotionally explained that Preeti supported him through his toughest days when he had nothing. As a mark of gratitude, he developed the habit of silently touching her feet every night after she falls asleep. For him, it’s a quiet expression of respect and thankfulness that gives him peace before ending his day.
His heartfelt admission earned applause from the audience and widespread praise online. Many lauded Ravi Kishan for his humility, love, and the courage to share such a personal ritual publicly — turning it into a meaningful example of appreciation in marriage.
