Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has been facing a rough patch at the box office. His recent film Mass Jathara disappointed even his loyal fans, failing to attract audiences or deliver strong openings. Several of his previous films also underperformed, prompting the actor to focus on regaining his audience’s trust.
Ravi Teja is now fully concentrating on his next film, Bhartha Mahashayulaku Vignapthi, directed by Kishore Tirumala. The movie is slated for a grand Sankranti 2026 release. In an interesting move, Ravi Teja is reportedly working without taking any advance payment for this project, instead opting to take a share of the film’s profits after its release.
The actor is reportedly working day and night to ensure the film is completed on time. Sankranti is one of the biggest festive seasons for Telugu cinema, and Ravi Teja believes releasing the film during this period could give it a strong box office boost. Previously, he had planned to release Eagle and Mass Jathara during Sankranti, but both were postponed due to unavoidable reasons. This time, he is determined not to miss the festival window.
Ravi Teja’s remuneration was once around ₹25 crore, but following several flops, it reportedly dropped to ₹15 crore for Mass Jathara. By foregoing his pay for Bhartha Mahashayulaku Vignapthi, he hopes to earn more through profit sharing if the film becomes a hit.
