Ravi Teja doesn’t command the same craze that he used to have a couple of years ago. Despite delivering a hit with “Raja The Great”, distributors have lost confidence in his movies.
Two of his subsequent movies “Nela Ticket” and “Touch Chesi Chudu” bit the dust and distributors have burnt their pockets deeply. That is the reason why his upcoming “Amar Akbar Anthony’s” release date hasn’t been confirmed.
The film was to release on October 5th, but it got postponed as “NOTA” and “Aravindha Sametha” had locked dates in the first half of October.Later the producers thought of releasing on November 16, but Vijay Deverakonda’s “Taxiwaala” is releasing on the same date.
On November 29th, superstar Rajinikanth’s “2.0” will be hitting the screens. So, Ravi Teja has no release window for his movie in the month of November. If Ravi Teja had really wanted, getting a date for his movie would not have been an issue. Not only that Ravi Teja is down with flops, his director Sreenu Vaitla also is going through a bad phase.
So, the producers and distributors are looking for “safe dates” for the release. They would rather wait to choose a right date, than clash with other biggies.
