Actress Renu Desai, who made her acting comeback with Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao, is once again gearing up for a new innings in Tollywood. She portrayed the role of Hemalatha Lavanam in the film, which, however, didn’t bring her much recognition or fresh opportunities. But the actress hasn’t given up — she’s still open to exploring new roles and recently signed a new project.
Renu Desai, remembered fondly for her performances in Badri, James Pandu, and Johnny, is known for her versatility. Apart from acting, she also ventured into direction with the Marathi film Ishq Wala Love. Her return to acting with Tiger Nageswara Rao didn’t go as planned, as the film failed to make an impact at the box office, and her serious role didn’t get much attention.
Now, Renu is looking for scripts that suit her personality and bring out her range as a performer. Interestingly, she has recently signed a fun-filled film in which she will be seen in a lively “mother-in-law” (atha) role. Though she hasn’t disclosed details about the movie, she expressed excitement about the character and hopes it will help her reconnect with audiences.
In this new phase of her career, Renu Desai plans to experiment with comedy, aiming to showcase a lighter side of her acting. If her upcoming role clicks, it could open the doors for many more promising character roles in Tollywood.
