The arrest and eventual release of Allu Arjun sparked widespread discussions across Telugu states last month. This topic resurfaced when a national media outlet asked Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his views on the matter.
In his response, Revanth Reddy addressed a comment from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who had criticized the arrest. Revanth Reddy firmly stated that Naidu was not in a position to comment on the situation. He explained, “What happened with Allu Arjun was a private matter related to the Telangana government, and law and order. Chandrababu Naidu may not fully understand the events of that day, so his opinion on the matter is not relevant.” He went on to explain that despite Allu Arjun seeking permission from the authorities two days prior, it was denied. However, the actor still went ahead to visit the theatre, leading to an uncontrollable crowd. This resulted in necessary disciplinary action, which was taken by the police. Revanth Reddy concluded that the issue was now closed and there was no further need for debate.
