Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been consistently vocal about the state’s challenging financial condition. In his latest public address, he shed more light on the fiscal crisis inherited from the previous administration.
Revanth stated that the financial mismanagement by the former KCR-led government has pushed the state into a precarious position. “The damage done earlier is so deep that financial institutions are now reluctant to engage with us. When we approach them for loans, they treat us with suspicion, almost as if we’re villains. They’re not even willing to start a conversation,” he remarked.
The CM emphasized that the current administration is facing immense difficulty in securing financial aid and loans due to the poor credibility built over the past years. He also noted that routine allocations for welfare schemes and government operations are adding more pressure on the state exchequer, creating a spillover effect that is further straining resources.
Revanth called for a more disciplined and strategic approach to financial planning. He stressed the need for strong internal regulations and smarter decision-making to gradually bring Telangana back to stable financial ground.
