Revanth Reddy Revives Ram Navami Tradition at Bhadrachalam

The Telugu states are immersed in the spiritual celebrations of Sri Rama Navami today, with a festive atmosphere prevailing across cities and towns. Devotees are honoring Lord Sri Ram with great fervor, and one of the key highlights this year is a significant gesture from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Marking a symbolic return to tradition, Revanth Reddy revived a sacred custom that had been paused for nearly nine years. He visited the revered Bhadrachalam temple today, accompanied by his family, to offer Pattu Vastram (silk garments) and Talambralu (sacred wedding pearls) to Lord Rama and Goddess Sita on the auspicious occasion.

The last time this tradition was followed was in 2015, when then-Chief Minister KCR made similar offerings. However, the practice was discontinued thereafter, and for nearly a decade, the ritual remained dormant. With today’s gesture, Revanth Reddy has reinstated the spiritual connection between the Telangana government and the iconic temple, which holds immense religious and historical significance.

His decision to revive this tradition is receiving praise from devotees and spiritual leaders alike, as it reflects a respectful acknowledgment of Telangana’s cultural roots and devotion to Lord Rama.
