The political climate in Telangana turned intense today as KCR made his presence felt in the ongoing Budget Session of the Telangana Assembly. However, the session quickly took a controversial turn with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy making a sharp and rather provocative remark.
During his address, Revanth Reddy stated, “People talk about stature. I don’t have any stature myself because it is associated with a position, not an individual. Those who speak about stature are now on a stretcher. If they don’t mend their ways, they will be sent to the mortuary.” While he did not take any names, the remark was widely interpreted as a direct jibe at KCR.
This statement sparked strong reactions, particularly from BRS supporters, who saw it as an unacceptable attack on their leader. In response, KTR took to social media with an equally fiery retort.
“This mad dog has crossed every limit of decency. I request his family members to take him to a mental health facility at the earliest, or else, in his frustrated state, he might start biting everyone around,” KTR tweeted, condemning Revanth’s remarks.
The escalating war of words has drawn criticism, as such language and personal attacks are not what the public expects from top political figures. The need for mature and responsible discourse in Telangana’s political arena is now more pressing than ever. Both Revanth Reddy and KTR face growing calls to adopt a more measured and dignified tone in their exchanges.
