Despite being a Congress Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy has maintained a surprisingly smooth and professional relationship with the NDA government, keeping Telangana’s interests above political differences. His proactive approach has, on several occasions, resulted in the central government extending cooperation to the state.
Coming to the latest development—Revanth Reddy is reportedly attempting something bold and politically unusual. He has extended invitations to both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for a single prestigious event in Hyderabad.
The Telangana government is hosting the Telangana Rising Global Summit next week in Hyderabad, a major international investment and branding platform for the state. Interestingly, Revanth Reddy invited both Modi and Rahul Gandhi to participate in the event and contribute to boosting Hyderabad’s global image.
During his meeting with the Prime Minister, Revanth briefed him on the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document, prepared with guidance from NITI Aayog and various sectoral experts. He highlighted how Telangana’s development roadmap aligns with Viksit Bharat 2047 and India’s $3 trillion economic aspirations. On the other hand, he also met with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to personally invite them to the summit.
With Revanth extending invitations to leaders from opposite political camps, the big question is—can he create history by bringing Modi and Rahul Gandhi onto the same stage? The likelihood is low due to obvious political constraints, but the bold gesture itself shows Revanth’s dynamic and inclusive leadership style.
Whether or not both leaders attend, Revanth deserves appreciation for his effort to rise above party lines and position Telangana as a collaborative, forward-looking state on the global map.
