Mogalthur, the native village of Megastar Chiranjeevi, is set to witness a significant transformation with the modernization of its District Council High School. Historically, government schools in rural areas have struggled to secure funding for renovations, making infrastructural development a rarity. However, thanks to the efforts of Jana Sena leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, this long-overdue upgrade is finally becoming a reality.
Pawan Kalyan has consistently focused on the development of his native village, championing initiatives that enhance rural infrastructure and education. Recognizing the dilapidated condition of the Mogalthur High School, his team proposed a comprehensive modernization plan. This initiative garnered the support of Andhra Pradesh’s Education Minister, N. Lokesh, who sanctioned Rs. 1.71 crore for the school’s redevelopment.
The condition of rural educational institutions often suffers from neglect, with little attention given to maintenance and modernization. While municipal schools in urban areas face challenges, district council high schools and primary schools in rural regions are frequently in worse condition. Infrastructure remains static, and expansion is often limited to new classroom additions rather than upgrading existing structures. Mogalthur High School was no exception, having been overlooked for years despite the village’s notable association with Chiranjeevi.
Pawan Kalyan’s appointment as Deputy Chief Minister and his leadership in the Rural Development Department have already sparked significant progress across Andhra Pradesh. His advocacy for “Palle Pragathi” (Rural Progress) has led to notable improvements in infrastructure, including enhanced road connectivity in previously inaccessible areas. As part of his commitment to Mogalthur’s development, Pawan’s team conducted a site visit to assess the school’s condition, subsequently initiating its modernization project. This proactive approach prompted swift action from N. Lokesh, who endorsed the initiative and allocated funds for the school’s transformation.
The redevelopment of Mogalthur High School stands as a testament to the power of dedicated leadership and strategic governance in advancing rural education. Through the combined efforts of Pawan Kalyan and N. Lokesh, the school will soon be equipped with modern facilities, providing students with a conducive learning environment.
