It is well-known that heroines charge extra for wearing a bikini on screen. Well, they also charge extra for kissing scenes and to look hot. But what we are going to disclose is a total surprise.In this case, it is director Sukumar who got Rs 10 lakh for shooting a kissing scene, well, in his usual perfect style. In fact, it is Sukumar who spoke about the rare incident.
“It’s the scene where the hero and heroine have to express their love for each other. Samantha has to tell Charan that she is in love with him. At the same time, the police come to take Charan away. Before he is taken, Samantha has to tell him. Though I tried for two days, I could not capture the mood properly.
Seeing my problem, the producer threw a challenge. He said he would give me Rs 10 lakh if I get the scene right. And believe it or not, I took up the challenge and completed the scene in 30 minutes,” shares Sukumar.The scene was written along with four of his writers. So, once Sukumar kept his promise, the producer too kept his part of the deal and gave him Rs 10 lakh. The money was equally shared between him and his writers says Sukumar.
Apparently, Charan did not know of the scene. Sukumar says only Samantha was aware of the scene as he had narrated it to her. But the surprise factor totally worked in favour of the scene, says Sukumar.
