Despite the fact that critics haven’t got impressed by the film, Prabhas’ Saaho is flexing muscles at the box office as North Indian audiences have liked the film big time. Producers Claimed the movie collects 350 Cr plus worldwide Gross in 5 days. With the Hindi version of the movie emerging as a 100 crore getter, surely it is giving a new ray of hope to Telugu star heroes.
Many big heroes from Tollywood like Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun who enjoy a considerable fanbase in the North, never dared to come up with a Hindi movie all these days. Even though Baahubali worked out, they might have thought that the epic content inside the movie clicked well. Saaho’s success will change their opinion however, as it is clearly indicating that South filmmakers will be able to cater to the ‘entertainment’ needs of North audiences. That’s why our star heroes are said to be thanking Prabhas.
From now onwards, Allu Arjun might be thinking about how to release his films in Hindi in parallel with Telugu release, while the likes of Mahesh Babu might plan for a Bollywood venture. Then the likes of Ram, Bellamkonda Srinivas and other young heroes who are enjoying the success of the dubbed Hindi versions of their Telugu films, might see this as a new ray of hope to expand their markets.
As Prabhas proved that a South hero could be another superstar in the north, surely every other star now tries to blur the divide and differences.
