Inner circles of the TDP feel that two tactical mistakes were mainly responsible for affecting Lokesh’s political career negatively. The first is to make him a minister through the council route. No political heir has ever entered the government in any state through the council route. A young leader has to prove himself and win the assembly seat. Unfortunately, that did not happen in Lokesh Babu’s case. As a result, his council route has cast a long shadow on his career.
The second career mistake was choosing Mangalagiri at the last moment. Lokesh got very little time to campaign and the negative result from Mangalagiri has left a deep scar on his career.
