Recently, he spoke about his past love life and addressed the rumors surrounding his marriage. According to Sai Dharam Tej, he fell in love with a girl while he was in his first year of degree studies. The girl was living in America, and they used to communicate through mails and phone calls.
The actor was planning to propose to her when she suddenly came to India and messaged him. However, after a week of silence, she sent a mail with her wedding photo, leaving Sai Dharam Tej heartbroken.
Since then, the actor has become very guarded about his love life and marriage. He said that he is scared of love and girls after his past experience and requested the media not to spread any rumors about his personal life until he finds someone he wants to marry.
