A recent promotional clip from the Hollywood film The Lost Bus has sparked a heated debate online, with fans alleging that a portion of its background score bears a striking resemblance to the music from Prabhas’s blockbuster Salaar.
The controversy began when Apple TV shared the film’s promo on social media. Viewers pointed out that the track starting at 1:13 sounded very similar to Salaar’s iconic background score composed by Ravi Basrur. While some fans argue that the scores are nearly identical, others feel the resemblance is only partial.
Prabhas fans and several netizens have called on Hombale Films and composer Ravi Basrur to take legal action against Apple TV and the makers of The Lost Bus, though neither the production house nor Apple TV has issued an official response yet. The clip continues to trend widely on social media, igniting discussions about originality and copyright in global cinema.
Directed by Paul Greengrass, The Lost Bus stars Matthew McConaughey, America Ferrera, Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson, and Katie Wharton. The film premiered on Apple TV on October 3.
