Samantha Ruth Prabhu has never shied away from speaking about her emotional journey following her highly publicized separation. While she has previously addressed the pain of that chapter in various interviews, she recently touched on it again during her latest episode of the health podcast Take 20, subtly expressing lingering emotions from that period.
In the episode, Samantha opened up about her struggle with phone addiction. She admitted that despite maintaining a disciplined wellness routine, her dependency on her phone became overwhelming, leading to mental distress. “My relationship with my phone had become toxic,” she confessed, highlighting how the pressure to stay constantly connected was taking a toll on her inner peace.
To combat this, Samantha undertook a three-day silent retreat, completely disconnecting from technology, books, and even writing materials. The retreat served as a mental reset, helping her break free from the compulsive urge to always be available and updated.
While the breakup is now in the past, Samantha’s occasional reflections on it continue to draw attention. In her podcast, she dropped subtle hints that suggested unresolved emotions, though she refrained from directly naming anyone.
In addition to discussing mental wellness, Samantha also addressed body-shaming comments she received online. Critics targeted her for appearing too thin, prompting her to respond with a powerful video of herself doing pull-ups. “You don’t get to call me skinny unless you can do three of these first,” she wrote, shutting down trolls with grace and strength.
Professionally, Samantha was last seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny and made a cameo appearance in her production debut Subham. She is currently working on a Telugu family drama titled Maa Inti Bangaram and an upcoming action series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
Samantha’s candid reflections and resilience continue to inspire many, both on and off the screen.
