Heroine Samantha’s residence in Chennai and her temporary guest house in Hyderabad are raided today morning by Income Tax sleuths, creating much worries for her fans.Raid on Vijay is justified because his “Puli” has made nearly 100 crores business and tomorow the film is releasing. At the same time Nayantara’s “Mayuri” is a sleeper hit and many say she amassed crores of rupees in this process.
Also as the news of Nayan’s destination wedding is doing rounds, IT officials might have felt that she is evading some tax. What about Samantha then? None of her films have become stunning hits and she hasn’t started any business like her other peers in film industry. Why is she targeted?
Some rumours suggested that our numero uno starlet has invested huge in rapidly expanding Chennai’s real estate market, due to which IT sleuths targeted her. Others say that some people from film industry who don’t like Samantha’s growth have complained against her through powerful sources to IT department. Whatever it maybe, Samantha’s father confirms that there is no such thing called ‘black money’ or ‘tax evasion’ in her account as his daughter is Ms Perfect.
“There is no black money with us. It’s all pure white money for which we are paying the tax. IT people asked the same and we clarified”, said Joseph Prabhu, father of heroine Samantha. “My daughter is not having crores and bungalows by earning this money in film industry. She has as usual some thousands of rupees in her bank accounts. The news fascinates media, but there is nothing beyond expectation, especially in black”, he added.
