Director Gunasekar, who is well known for mythological and family drama, is now prepping up for another mythological love drama based on Adiparvam titled ‘Shakuntalam’ from Indian epic Mahabharata. It is well known that Samantha Akkineni plays the titular role in the film.
After readying the necessary pre-production requirements that involved utilising huge sets, Shaakunthalam has finally gone on floors and the film’s crew have started the shooting. Apart from Sam, Malayalam hero Dev Mohan Will be seen in King Dushyanta role.
Director is said to have looked for a guy with classic features and someone who would be the teen heart throb. He finally chosen Dev, who is a Mr India contestant too believing that how would fit the bill.
The traditional Pooja ceremony happened on 15th March. In this regard, Dev opened up on Twitter to make the announcement a couple of days ago. “Shaakuntalam, Rolling (sic),” he said. Now sources reveal that Samantha too has joined the regular shoot and will also cover few crucial scenes between her and Dev Mohan initially.
It is also known that Songs Composing, which began a couple of months ago is has already finished. Music lovers will get to experience the much-lauded combination of Gunasekhar – Manisharma and their magnificent melodies
