Samantha remains one of the most prominent and bankable stars in Telugu cinema, with a box office pull that sets her apart from most of her contemporaries. Her latest outing, Shubham, hit theatres last weekend and marks a significant milestone in her career—not just as an actress, but also as a producer.
Interestingly, Samantha revealed that she was not initially supposed to play a role in Shubham. However, due to unforeseen circumstances and a sense of responsibility toward the project, she decided to step in.
“This is my first production, and naturally, I had a lot riding on it. But I didn’t want to pressure anyone else into doing the role just because I was producing it. That’s why I took it up myself and also committed to promoting the film extensively, even in smaller markets,” Samantha shared during a recent media interaction.
Despite this being her debut as a producer, Samantha appears to be fully embracing the challenge. She is also set to begin filming for her next project, Maa Inti Bangaaram, which is scheduled to go on floors this June.
