Samsung is set to launch the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge globally in April 2025, with key leaks providing a glimpse into the upcoming smartphone’s features. Recently showcased at MWC 2025, the S25 Edge is expected to weigh just over 160g and come with an estimated price of $1000 (around ₹87,000).
One of the standout features of the S25 Edge is its slim and lightweight design. At just 5.84mm thick, it will be one of Samsung’s thinnest devices, 1.46mm thinner than the S25+ model. The S25 Edge will also be lighter at 162g compared to the 195g weight of the S25+, mainly due to a smaller 3,900mAh battery (as opposed to the S25+’s 4,800mAh). There are also rumors that Samsung could replace the traditional glass back with a ceramic rear panel, which would enhance durability without compromising on the premium feel.
In terms of display, the S25 Edge will feature a 6.65″ AMOLED screen, slightly smaller than the 6.7″ display on the S25+, but it will have narrower bezels akin to the S25 Ultra for a more immersive viewing experience. The device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset and paired with 12GB of RAM, running Samsung’s One UI 7 based on Android 15.
Camera-wise, the S25 Edge will likely sport dual rear cameras, as seen in previous showcases like Galaxy Unpacked and MWC. While the exact sensor details remain unclear, the focus will likely be on AI-powered photography enhancements. The smaller battery size has raised concerns about battery life, but Samsung is expected to optimize software for better power efficiency.
