For the last five months, nearly 3 million construction workers have lost their livelihood due to the haphazard sand policy of the YS Jagan government. Yesterday, a construction worker named Naga Brahmaji from Tenali committed suicide after failing to get work for several months.
Deeply pained by Naga Brahmaji’s suicide, Janasena Party President Pawan Kalyan took to his Twitter and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. Pawan announced Rs 1 lakh compensation to Brahmaji’s family.
Pawan also lashed out at the ‘chaotic sand policy’ of the AP government which created a grim situation that pushed nearly 19.6 lakh workers directly and another 1 million workers indirectly out of job and put their families in a state of misery. Pawan also appealed to the central government to look into the issue and rescue the 3 million plus construction workers.
