Unlike most small films that get just a one-time promotional push, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has gone the extra mile to support the upcoming comedy-drama Jigiris, which is set to hit theatres on November 14.
The film stars Krishna Burugula, Dheeraj Athreya, Mani Vaka, and Ram Nithin in lead roles. Directed by Harish Reddy Uppula and produced by Krishna Vodapalli under Mount Meru Pictures, Jigiris follows four friends on an unexpected road trip to Goa in an old Maruti 800.
Sandeep first released the film’s first look in June, followed by a teaser launch in August, where he personally attended the public event. Speaking at length about the team’s efforts, he wished them well — a rare gesture from a top filmmaker busy with major projects. During the teaser event, Sandeep shared his close friendship with producer Krishna Vodapalli, recalling how Krishna disappeared for three months during the shoot of Animal only to reveal later that he had already completed the first schedule of Jigiris in Goa. “He didn’t tell me because he knew I’d stop him. Making a film puts everyone on edge,” Sandeep laughed.
With the film’s release around the corner, Sandeep has further confirmed his presence at both the trailer launch and pre-release event, showing wholehearted support for a small project. His involvement highlights not only his loyalty to friends but also his humility as a filmmaker.
On the professional front, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is gearing up for his next directorial, Spirit, starring Prabhas, Tripti Dimri, Vivek Oberoi, and Kanchana. The recently unveiled audio teaser has already generated significant buzz on social media.
