The arrest of Kannada film actresses Sanjana Galrani and Ragini Dwivedi in a drugs case had created a sensation last year. The Bengaluru police nabbed the actresses along with party organiser Viren Khanna and former minister late Jeevaraj Alva’s son Aditya Alva. After serving a few months in jail, they are now out on conditional bail.
Now, the hair samples of the accused, which were collected and sent to Hyderabad for tests, have revealed that they were doing drugs. As per the police, the report will help during the trial of the case to show the point that the accused were drug users as well.
Responding to this development, Sanjjanaa said that the reports of the cops have come as a huge blow as she is now getting back on track.
“I am going through an extreme financial crisis. Friends with whom I had invested money have turned their backs on me. I feel completely drained, financially, personally, legally, and emotionally. I still have big legal bills to meet,” she said in an interview.
The actress has also said that she is looking to challenge the report legally. Besides people from the Kannada film industry, a few African nationals were also arrested in the drug case.
