Sankranti Clash Puts Chiranjeevi–Ravipudi Film to the Test

Share

This time, Anil Ravipudi is gearing up with Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi. Positioned as a complete family entertainer, the film has generated strong expectations, marking Ravipudi’s first-ever collaboration with the legendary actor. However, the path to Sankranti success appears far from easy.

The upcoming Sankranti season is set to be one of the most competitive in recent times. Big-ticket releases such as Prabhas’ The Raja Saab and Thalapathy Vijay’s farewell film Jana Nayagan are slated to hit theatres in the same week, with both films arriving a few days ahead of Chiranjeevi’s release—giving them a crucial head start at the box office.

Adding to the competition, several mid-budget films are also making strong noise. Ravi Teja’s Bhartha Mahasayalaku Wignyapthi and Naveen Polishetty’s Ananaganaga Oka Raju have already impressed audiences with their teasers, while Sharwanand’s family drama Nari Nari Naduma Murari is expected to draw in family crowds.

Interestingly, despite the high stakes, promotions for Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu have been relatively muted so far. With only two songs and a title teaser released, and less than three weeks to go for Sankranti, aggressive marketing will be crucial. To stay ahead in this packed race, Anil Ravipudi will need to accelerate promotions and establish a strong connect with audiences.

Whether Ravipudi can once again deliver a winning Sankranti entertainer will be revealed soon—but expectations remain undeniably high.
