Young and rising talents Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Pandey are in top gear lately. They are signing crazy Hindi projects as well as pan-Indian films. Apart from acting with happening Bollywood heroes, Ananya Pandey is romancing Vijay Devarakonda in ‘Liger’. Coming to Sara, she completed the shooting of ‘Atrangi Re’ which was Dhanush playing the lead. Both these young beauties are ready to take up challenging roles as well as glamorous roles. But reports suggest that Sara & Ananya said turned down a bold subject that came their way.
Interestingly, this project fell into the hands of Punjabi beauty Rakul Preet Singh. The ‘Dhruva’ actress is accepting interesting films like ‘May Day’ and ‘Sardar Ka Grandson’ in Hindi lately. According to the reports, we will be seeing Rakul play the role of condom tester in this project. Tentatively titled ‘Chhatriwali’, this social drama is going to be the boldest role Rakul has ever played. Tejas Deoskar is directing this flick which is bankrolled by RSVP Movies.
Rakul is eager to work on this movie as she says, ‘It’s very exciting and I am very thrilled about that film because it’s important to sort of highlight some issues in a light-hearted way and that has got me pretty excited.’ The shooting commences once the second wave subsides and it will be released directly on an OTT platform which is a wise move from the makers. Condom testing is a real job that earns you a huge sum of around 21 lakhs per annum. Apparently, they hire people over 18 years to test the quality, durability, safety and potential of this product before going into the market.
