The Andhra Pradesh Government has launched an ambitious skill-development initiative titled the Amravati Quantum Mission, aimed at empowering 50,000 young learners with advanced capabilities in quantum technologies and aligned digital domains. Developed in collaboration with leading global and domestic experts, the mission focuses on high-demand areas such as quantum computing, artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity.

Through this programme, B.Tech, degree, and intermediate students across the state will receive structured online training via the learn.qubitec.io platform. The initiative is divided into two phases. Phase-1 will onboard 3,000 students into a 32-hour foundation programme delivered fully online, featuring weekly modules, continuous assessments, and a final evaluation. To ensure widespread accessibility, the government has set the fee at an affordable ₹500, enabling students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to participate with only basic computer and internet access.

Top performers from Phase-1 will advance to Phase-2, a comprehensive and free advanced training module offered to approximately 3,000 shortlisted candidates. This phase will deepen their understanding of quantum mechanics for computing, quantum algorithms, quantum-safe cryptography, and practical applications across industries such as finance, healthcare, and logistics.

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with international researchers and industry professionals, gaining exposure to real-world quantum laboratories and current industrial use cases, positioning them for high-growth careers in emerging technology sectors.
