Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have been granted anticipatory bail by the Rajasthan High Court in a case related to a Hyundai car. Both actors serve as brand ambassadors for the car company, and the complaint was filed by Keerthi Singh from Rajasthan. She alleged that due to the promotions by Shah Rukh and Deepika, she suffered a financial loss while purchasing a vehicle, claiming that the actors misled customers.
The FIR was registered against Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and six Hyundai officials in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The complaint pertains to technical issues experienced with a Hyundai Alcazar SUV purchased in 2022. Despite multiple follow-ups at the service center, the company allegedly failed to resolve the problems, prompting Keerthi Singh to name the actors as co-accused for promoting the brand. She argued that their endorsements misled consumers and caused her losses.
The Rajasthan High Court, after considering the case, granted anticipatory bail to Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The next hearing has been scheduled for September 25.
