It is known that Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is remaking Nani’s 2018 Telugu sports drama Jersey. The Hindi remake is one of the most-anticipated films ever since it was announced. Shahid completed the shooting for Jersey last year and is waiting for its release on December 31st this year.
Taking to Twitter, the B-town actor held an interaction session with his fans, who were anxiously waiting to know about Jersey.
One of the actor’s fans asked him to say something about Nani and wrote, “One word about @NameisNani[sic].” Shahid revealed he cried while watching the original film in Telugu and it was Nani who inspired him to be a part of the film, he wrote, “I think @NameisNani did an amazing job in jersey. He made me cry. So I would say he inspired me to do this film[sic].”
Jersey is directed by Gautam Tinnanuri and Mrunal Thakur is the leading lady. Shahid also lauded South star Samantha’s performance as Raji in The Family Man 2. The actor said that he would love to work with the actress sometime.
