Sharad Pawar bats for Third Front stressing its need in India

The possibility of the third front in national politics as an alternative to BJP and Congress once again became the hot topic in the country with NCP Chief Sharad Pawar batting for the need of the front.

The NCP chief addressed a press conference over his idea to have a third front. Mr. Pawar said he is in talks with various parties in connection with setting up a Third Front.

“There is a need for a Third Front in the country. Talks are underway with several parties in this regard.CPI-M leader Sitaram Yechury has also opined to have a third front. The Front will take a shape soon’, Mr. Pawar said.

His comments on the Third Front came a day after Congress rebel PC Chacko bid goodbye to the Congress and joined the NCP. The Third Front is likely to be set up with the help of regional parties, while Mr. Pawar leads the Front.

Mr. Pawar’s comments gained the attraction of the nation as he has all the possibilities of leading the Third Front if it gets into shape. He has a cordial relationship with parties in Kerala, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh.

Looking at the political scenario in the nation, the opposition led by Congress failed miserably in targeting the Union Government over several issues like Farm Bills, Fuel price hikes, and other issues.

Despite a section of voters expressing their dissatisfaction against Narendra Modi-led Centre, the opposition didn’t bank on this and converting it into voters. The opposition is getting weaker and weaker with every election.

The Third Front is carrying high expectations that it would echo people’s voices and fight for the interests of people and farmers in the nation.
