YS Sharmila, who founded her own party, YSRTP, in July this year, took to social media and sent out her Raksha Bandhan greetings. She even mentioned her brother YS Jagan in her greetings, addressing him as her brother from the same mother. However, there was nothing special about these greetings, given that there was neither a picture of Jagan’s in the post nor any special message for him.
Sharmila greeted her other brothers of the state of Telangana in a similar tone, with no difference at all. Previously, Sharmila used to make it a point to go wherever her brother Jagan was, and tie a Rakhi to him. She even went to the places he was at, during his Padayatra, and tied a Rakhi to him. However, this year, despite Vijayawada being a matter of a few hours away, Sharmila didn’t make any special efforts to visit her brother in person.
This emphasizes that the relations between the brother and sister have become damaged beyond repair. This has become a sensation in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana political circles now, with everyone surprised at Sharmila’s wishes. On the other hand, Jagan affiliated media channels are spinning the matter in their own way, stating that Sharmila has wished Jagan, and all is well between them.
