The makers of director Abhilash Kankara’s much-awaited sports action drama Biker, starring Sharwanand, have officially announced that the film’s release has been postponed. The movie, initially slated to hit theatres on December 6, has been pushed to a later date to enhance the cinematic experience.

UV Creations, the production house backing the project, released a statement on X confirming the delay. Their message read:
“#Biker stands postponed! A new release date will be announced soon. A bigger, better experience is being crafted with care and being assembled with passion. Biker will release in *3D, 4DX, and several other premium formats.”

Calling the film “an experience beyond the screens,” the team added that the cast and crew have been working tirelessly—often through countless nights—to build something far grander than the glimpses revealed so far. “This film is much more than the little laps we showed and bigger than what Telugu cinema has seen until now,” the statement said.

Promising a high-adrenaline ride, the makers further wrote, “We want to give you a product that races in your hearts, pumps up your adrenaline, and makes you breathless. Biker stands postponed not just to give you a film, but an experience like never before. Tighten your helmets—you’re in for the ride of a lifetime.”

Sources close to the unit reveal that Sharwanand will be seen as a highly skilled motorcycle racer in this action-packed entertainer. The film’s shoot is in its final phase, and major racing sequences featuring Sharwanand and his team were recently shot in Hyderabad. These high-intensity race scenes are said to be among the biggest highlights of the film, showcasing stunts designed to give audiences an unprecedented adrenaline rush.

Malavika Nair plays the female lead, while seasoned actors Brahmaji and Atul Kulkarni appear in crucial supporting roles. Set against the vibrant world of 90s and early 2000s motocross racing, the film spans three generations of a family and explores their emotional journeys through the lens of high-speed action.

Produced by Vamsi and Pramod, Biker features cinematography by J. Yuvraj, music by renowned composer Ghibran, and editing by Anil Kumar P. N. Sandeep serves as the executive producer, with Rajeevan as the production designer and A. Panneerselvam as art director.
