The much-talked-about case of filming and publishing obscene content involving Indian-British businessman Raj Kundra took several twists and turns over the past few days. The case took yet another interesting turn.
It has been widely reported that the actress Sherlyn Chopra was summoned by the Mumbai Police in connection with the case. In the summons, the cops directed the actress to appear for the questioning.
News Agency ANI reported that the actress was directed to reach the Property Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch for questioning in connection with the adult film racket that was unearthed earlier this year.
Sherlyn Chopra’s name has been surfacing in this case with a few other actresses. She was earlier questioned by the cops reportedly. Going by the reports, she revealed key information in the previous questioning.
The actress reached the Crime Branch office for questioning and the process is underway. More details are awaited.
The fresh development comes days after the actress alleged that Raj Kundra kissed her despite her resistance to the businessman.
In the complaint she alleged that Raj Kundra appeared at her house without informing and started to kiss her, reports claimed.
The adult film racket that was busted by the Mumbai Police in February this year had surprised everyone as the raid was conducted in Mumbai City.
After busting the racket, the cops arrested a few actors and started to gather all the information in connection with the racket.
As a big breakthrough in the case, the investigation has guided the cops to Raj Kundra who was summoned to appear for questioning and arrested later.
Raj Kundra who is dubbed as the key conspirator behind the racket was arrested and he is currently placed in judicial custody.
Since Raj Kundra’s arrest, several names including actresses have surfaced. The surfaced names include controversial actress Gehana Vasisth.
While a few actresses came forward and spoke in support of Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty, few others spoke against Raj Kundra and levelled allegations that innocent girls were targeted.
Gehana Vasisth said that the content filmed is not obscene content but it is erotic content. She was arrested in connection with the same case and was released on a bail later.
