The Mumbai Police have issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, in connection with a Rs 60 crore cheating case, officials confirmed on Friday.
The LOC was issued by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police, given that the couple frequently travels abroad, an official noted. The case was registered at Juhu police station on August 14, alleging that Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra duped a businessman of nearly Rs 60 crore through a loan-cum-investment deal.
A Lookout Circular is a tool used by authorities to track a person’s movements or prevent them from leaving the country, with alerts issued to immigration and border control authorities at various entry and exit points.
