Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko has once again found himself in the spotlight, this time for a controversial incident involving an alleged drug raid at a private hotel in Kochi. According to reports, the incident occurred around 11 PM on Wednesday night and was captured on CCTV footage. The visuals reportedly show a man, believed to be Chacko, fleeing down the stairs from the hotel’s third floor moments after police arrived.
The District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) carried out the raid, targeting room number 314, where the actor was reportedly staying. Upon the arrival of police officials, Shine allegedly escaped through a hotel window and fled the premises.
Adding to the seriousness of the matter, actress Vincy Aloshious has come forward with a complaint to the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), accusing Shine Tom Chacko of inappropriate behaviour and drug use. “When I had a minor issue with my costume, he offered to ‘fix it’ in front of everyone,” Vincy stated. She also alleged that the actor exhaled a white, powdery substance during a rehearsal, further fueling suspicions of substance abuse.
While official statements from Shine Tom Chacko or his representatives are yet to be released, the incident has sparked widespread discussion within the Malayalam film industry. Chacko, known for his intense performances and bold film choices, was last seen in the film Good Bad Ugly.
Authorities have not confirmed whether any legal proceedings have been initiated, but the matter is currently under investigation.
