The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is reportedly gearing up to attach a few properties of former minister of state for coal during UPA I tenure, Dasari Narayan Rao after he is facing allegations of money laundering in the coal scam.
The directorate has reportedly identified these properties and the process of attachment would be starting in a few days. ED has established that Naveen Jindal’s Jindal Steel and Power Limited had reportedly transferred Rs 2.25 crore to Dasari’s own company Saubhagya Media limited as a return for the favours given by the minister.
Rao is already being examined by ED in this case apart from other coal scam cases which it is investigating. Sources say that the probe in this coal scam case is at advanced stage and investigators now finalized the properties that would be attached as part of the case.
The CBI had already registered a case against Dasari Narayan Rao, Jindal and the unknown screening committee members over alleged irregularities in allocations of Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block to the company JSPL.
