During a video conference with the Administrative Staff of the Andhra Pradesh districts, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said “We’ve decided to name our new capital as Amaravati and I would like to see every one of us participating in its development. You should be the partners in our Capital growth.“
He also added saying the employees to donate at least one day of their salaries to the Capital construction fund. This clearly shows the terrible financial crunch the state is facing. He said that all this fund collected will be transparent and will be known to all.
Many of the employees nodded their heads for the proposal while few raised few doubts saying “We will happily contribute to the construction of our capital city. Our only concern is about the utilization of the collected funds. What if the contributed funds gets used to run the welfare schemes of state?”
