Siddhu Jonnalagadda seems determined to break free from the image of just being a comic hero or youthful entertainer. The underwhelming response to Jack has been a wake-up call, reminding him that the DJ Tillu-style of roles may not be enough to sustain his career in the long run.
In pursuit of reinvention, Siddhu is now exploring collaborations with filmmakers who focus on unique, content-driven narratives. Recently, he met director Praveen Kandregula to discuss a fresh concept. Though Praveen has yet to deliver a commercial blockbuster, his films like Cinema Bandi (Netflix) and Subham (produced by Samantha) won critical acclaim. However, his last release Paradha failed to click with both audiences and critics.
For Praveen, working with a popular star like Siddhu could be an opportunity to bounce back, while Siddhu himself is eager to step outside his comfort zone and try something new. If this collaboration materializes, it could be a turning point for both actor and filmmaker.
On the other hand, Siddhu hasn’t slowed down on the commercial front either. He has begun promotions for his upcoming film Telusu Kada, slated for release next month, and is also gearing up for projects like Kohinoor.
