Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s Kohinoor Put on Hold After Box Office Flops

Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who rose to prominence with the success of the Tillu films, has faced a challenging year at the box office, with his recent releases Jack and Telusu Kada failing to make an impact. These consecutive flops have slowed the actor’s market momentum considerably.

Earlier, producer Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments had announced a pan-Indian, big-budget film titled Kohinoor, with Siddhu in the lead. However, reports now suggest that the project has been put on hold and may even be scrapped entirely.

The decision comes amid broader financial pressures, including a significant decline in OTT revenues. Netflix, a consistent buyer of Sithara Entertainments’ films, is reportedly renegotiating older deals and offering lower prices due to the shrinking digital market.

Given these circumstances, launching an ambitious project like Kohinoor with Siddhu Jonnalagadda represents a substantial financial risk. With recent losses impacting the production house, Naga Vamsi appears to have opted for a cautious pause on the project for the time being.
