The grand pre-release event of Telusu Kada, starring Siddu Jonnalagadda, Srinidhi Shetty, and Raashii Khanna, and directed by Neeraja Kona under People Media Factory, turned out to be a memorable evening. The entire team was in attendance, but it was Siddu’s heartfelt speech that stole the spotlight.
An emotional Siddu opened up about his deep connection with his character, Varun.
“I’m actually feeling a bit sad today. For almost a year, I’ve lived with a radical and intriguing man named Varun. And now, I have to say goodbye to him. You’ll understand why once you watch the film,” he said, his voice tinged with emotion.
Sharing a touching anecdote, Siddu revealed how he revisited his character one last time before the event.
“I wanted to be Varun again today. So, I picked up his shirt, and when I did, Varun gave me two conditions. The first — to speak to all the women here.”
The actor then turned poetic as he spoke about women with reverence.
“I don’t know if people realize it or not, but women are the most beautiful species ever. Wars have been fought for you, poetry has been written for you. Compared to you, we men are very small.”
Siddu also shared a powerful message for men about love and self-respect.
“If a woman’s heart breaks and she walks away, let her go. Don’t chase her. The moment you beg her to stay, you lose your self-respect — and that’s non-negotiable. Yes, it’ll hurt. Let it hurt. Only through that pain can someone like Varun be born within us. That’s when we begin to understand ourselves.”
He went on to describe Telusu Kada as an emotionally intense story.
“Varun doesn’t use a gun, doesn’t wield a sword, and not a single drop of blood is shed. Yet, he fights emotional wars and wages psychological battles.”
Ending on an intriguing note, Siddu compared the film’s theme to a mystery.
“We’ve all heard about the Bermuda Triangle in the North Atlantic, where ships and aircraft vanish without a trace. Telusu Kada is the Bermuda Triangle of love triangles.”
Before wrapping up, Siddu graciously extended his best wishes to all the films releasing this Diwali season.
