Director Vetrimaran is currently collaborating with Simbu for his upcoming film Arasan, which is titled Samrajyam in Telugu. To give fans a glimpse of the character and the world he inhabits, the makers released a five-minute-long promo, packed with gripping action and hero elevation, delivering an adrenaline rush for audiences.
Billed as a gangster action drama, Samrajyam is set within the Vada Chennai cinematic universe, hinting at a potential crossover with Dhanush in future installments. Fans are excited at the prospect of seeing Dhanush and Simbu share screen space in the same universe.
The latest promo showcases Simbu narrating his story to Nelson Dilipkumar within a court setting. During a hearing, when questioned by the judge about murders that occurred 15 years ago, Simbu pleads not guilty. Flashback sequences depict him in a younger avatar, drenched in blood, adding intensity and suspense to the narrative.
The teaser also includes a reference to NTR, which has intrigued Telugu audiences. Simbu, wanting the story adapted as a biopic, suggests that NTR would portray the role perfectly. Interestingly, Nelson, seen in the promo, is collaborating with NTR for his next film, and Vetrimaran has also expressed interest in working with the superstar soon.
Adding to the excitement, it was NTR himself who launched the promo of Samrajyam, further increasing anticipation among fans.
