Singer In Trouble After Objections Over Her Annamayya keerthana!

God and Religion are very sensitive topics and one has to be very careful while dealing with them. We have seen what happened with Nupur Sharma when she made objectionable comments on Prophet. All the Arab nations responded firmly and demanded strict action against her.

While the issue is still going on, a popular singer landed in a big controversy. Now people from her own religion are not happy with what she had done and they are demanding an apology from her for what she had done.

Noted Singer-dubbing artist Sravana Bhargavi is facing the heat for the video she dropped on YouTube. In the video, she sang an Annamayya keerthana. However, the video shows her singing the same while doing various things like walking around, sleeping on the bed, and playing with her legs.

A section of people have objections over the video and even the members of the Annammayya trust raised a few concerns over the song and asked her to remove the song from YouTube.

However, Sravana Bhargavi is saying that she has done nothing wrong and she will not remove the song. The trust members tried to make her understand the situation. But the singer is not listening, according to the trust members.

Annamayya keerthanas have a special place in the hearts of the Telugu people and they are seen as holy by many. Most of the time, the Keerthnas are played only in the temples. While making a video on such Keerthanas, Sravana Bhargavi should have given ears to what she is doing.

At least she should have understood the situation when the trust members raised a few reservations. But her response of saying no to the removal of the song is adding fuel to the controversy.

Suriya’s upcoming film Karuppu has officially been retitled as Veerabhadrudu for its Telugu release, with the makers also locking in the release date. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film is gearing up to hit theatres as a major summer attraction on May 14.

The newly released poster presents Suriya in a fierce and rooted avatar. Dressed in a black shirt and veshti, he is seen holding a machete-like weapon, sporting an intense expression and a striking tilak on his forehead. The backdrop adds to the impact, showcasing a vibrant festive setting with decorated temple chariots, traditional elements, and a large crowd immersed in celebration.

With the advantage of summer holidays and no major releases lined up during that week, Veerabhadrudu is well-positioned to capitalize at the box office.

The film is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures. Music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, while Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead.

The teaser has already received a strong response, and with nearly a month left for release, the team is expected to begin an aggressive promotional campaign soon.
