Producers Dil Raju and Sirish recently found themselves at the center of controversy following remarks made about the underperformance of Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and directed by Shankar. The film, produced under their banner Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), did not meet expectations at the box office, and the duo addressed this during promotions for their upcoming film Thammudu.
While Dil Raju acknowledged the setback and assured fans that he would work towards delivering a successful film with Ram Charan in the future, it was Sirish’s comments that stirred up a storm. In an interview, Sirish noted that neither Ram Charan nor Shankar had reached out to them after the film’s release—remarks perceived by many fans as a slight against the actor and director.
Charan’s fans quickly responded with an open letter circulated on social media, criticizing the SVC team for publicly discussing the film’s failure. They pointed out that other production houses, such as Mythri Movie Makers, handled losses with dignity without targeting the actors—citing examples like 1: Nenokkadine and Saindhav. The letter urged SVC to avoid making further negative comments and preserve mutual respect.
The issue quickly escalated, sparking online fan wars. Jr NTR’s fans began trolling Ram Charan, prompting Mega fans to retaliate by revisiting Jr NTR’s past flops like Shakti and Narasimhudu—the latter infamous for reportedly pushing its producer to a desperate act due to its failure.
Amid the growing backlash, Sirish issued a public apology on social media, clarifying that his comments were misunderstood and were never intended to disrespect Ram Charan or his fans. “It came to my notice that my interview words were misunderstood on social media and hurt a few Mega fans. I want to clarify that Ram Charan gave his full support for our film Game Changer. We have had a very good relationship with Chiranjeevi Garu’s family for many years… I sincerely apologize if my words unintentionally hurt anyone,” he stated.
Dil Raju also stepped in to support his brother, reiterating that their bond with Ram Charan and his family remains strong. He hinted that plans for a new collaboration with the actor are already in the works.
While Sirish’s apology appears to have eased tensions for now, the incident highlights how sensitive the dynamics can be between producers, stars, and their devoted fan bases—and how easily such matters can escalate in the age of social media.
