Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana has drawn attention with sudden changes to her social media following the indefinite postponement of her wedding. The ceremony, scheduled for Sunday in Sangli, Maharashtra, was called off after her father, Srinivas Mandhana, suffered a heart attack hours before the event.
On Monday morning, Smriti deleted all Instagram posts related to her engagement and pre-wedding festivities, including the heartwarming proposal video with her fiancé Palash Muchhal. Surprisingly, some of her teammates, including Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil, also removed videos associated with the announcement of her wedding. Her past photos with Palash, however, remain intact.
Meanwhile, Palash Muchhal was briefly hospitalized for acidity issues but was discharged after minor treatment. Smriti’s sudden deletion of posts has sparked widespread speculation among fans and media, with many wondering if it was due to superstition, the health emergencies, or personal reasons.
