Bollywood beauty Sonakshi Sinha is all set to make her grand Tollywood debut with the upcoming film Jatadhara, and her excitement is clearly visible. Speaking at the promotional event held in Hyderabad, Sonakshi shared, “After spending 15 wonderful years in Bollywood, stepping into Telugu cinema feels like a brand-new beginning. I had butterflies during my first Hindi film Dabangg, and now, I’m feeling that same thrill for Jatadhara.”

The event turned lively as Sonakshi interacted with fans, who turned up in huge numbers. In a playful tone, she said, “I heard some girls bunked college to attend this event! Be careful — next time your moms might say the Pisachi will come if you skip classes,” she joked, referencing her dark and mysterious character in the movie.

Sonakshi also opened up about the challenges of playing a negative role for the first time in her career. “Jatadhara pushed me out of my comfort zone. Portraying a character with so many shades was a tough but rewarding experience. After seeing the response to the trailer, my confidence has grown tremendously,” she said.
She went on to thank directors Venkat and Abhishek for their trust and vision. “It’s always wonderful when filmmakers believe in your abilities and offer you something fresh and powerful,” Sonakshi added warmly.

To the delight of fans, Sonakshi even grooved to her iconic hit “Saree Ke Fall Sa” from R… Rajkumar, joining co-star Sudheer Babu on stage and setting the crowd abuzz with energy.
With Jatadhara, Sonakshi now joins the impressive line-up of Bollywood actresses making waves in Telugu cinema — including Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Alia Bhatt, and Wamiqa Gabbi. All eyes are now on how this massive crossover will shape her South journey.
